paraffin treatments

Well I finally have my paraffin bath, now I need to know how to use it most effectively.

With the Creative SpaManicure & Raw Earth ranges, at what point would you use paraffin? I'm guessing after you apply the exfoliating crystals & activator for the SpaManicure but unsure about the Raw Earth.

Also, how much do you add to the cost of your manicures & pedicures for a paraffin treatment?

Hi! I haven't tried the Raw Earth line, but, after reading the step by step instructions on their website (http://www.creativenail.com/downloads/sp/sp_pedi_rawearth.pdf) I would do a paraffin dip after the massage, and before the nail prep. I like to moisturize before the dip.

I charge an extra $5 for paraffin.

We are going to charge an extra £7 for wax.

Thanks for the replies, I think after the massage sounds like a good idea. Still not sure about the extra charge for paraffin as my pedicures are already £30 so I don't think people would want to pay much more.

humm... what I would do, as an "upgrade", give the dip to your older clientele with a regular pedicure, they deserve it. if you have customers with dry skin, do it once, let them know it's free this time, and that it comes with a "deluxe" pedicure/manicure for $x extra. if they really like it, they'll pay for it.

Could you apply the wax after applying the sea serum - instead of wrapping in a terry towel for 5 mins, apply the wax and leave this for 5mins?

Does anyone know if this would be a problem applying the wax over the serum?

Do you use the callus smoother with the sea serum? Personally, I would use the sea serum with the callus smoother, and then use the cucumber heel therapy then wax. But, I prefer to moisturize before dipping into the wax. (just me :wink2: )

Not really sure if it would hurt to use the wax over the serum... maybe somebody else will know for sure?
