Hi,

I did a Paraffin wax the other day on my daughter but found the wax to be very hot!

It did not burn as in really burn the skin I put it on me first using a brush but it was very hot, I am not sure if everyone could cope with this heat.

My wax pot is a small one with 2 heat settings 1 and 2 I turned it on and left it on setting 1 until it melted you can not turn it off as if you do this the wax goes hard too quick so the pot needs to stay on.

I put the wax pellets in the pot I was wondering if the pot of wax is better the one that can be placed straight into the wax pot and then when finished just put the lid back on.

Thanks Caz xxx

I used to have this when I first tried out parrafin waxing. I to used the pellet wax which I found stayed really hot then just silidified, no happy medium.

I tried a different wax, the parafin bars by GiGi and this problem stopped. I break however much I need of the block and melt it at the clients. Cant remember the make of the pellet wax, but it maybe that you have the same brand.

I to have the small heater with just two settings and I get on fine now with this wax.

Hope this helps.

Hi

I get the wax from a local wholesalers in Basildon but I have seen it in a catalouge but cant remember which one. I also think that they sell it on the Elite site run by another geek.

Sorry I cant be of much help but I hope that you track it down!

Hi!
I take the lid off the bath for a few minutes before I dip. It'll make a thin skin on the top, but it cools the wax off nicely. I also use the GiGi blocks of wax, they're less messy than the pellets, but they take a little longer to melt
