  • dry 1st foot; cuticle work. rasp/scrub & wash foot
  • rpt to other foot
  • massage 1st foot then 2nd foot. apply mask. Leave 10mins in heated booties. then remove
  • Wipe over nails to remove oil or residue from mask
  • buff, base, 2 x colour + top coat

Hth - sorry if its brief but hope you understand it - would be interested in what others do xx

Remove scrub, dry feet and wrap 1 in a towel

Oh Deb if it wasn't for your answer being so detailed I would have forgotten to add most of my steps :)

Amyjade, think I am going to try your routine as all the "wet" steps are done first, at least I can remove the pedi bowl, have yet to invest in the new bowls that keep the heat

thanks xx

ooo love this thread - what rasps do you find are best for removing the hard skin?

What mask do you use on the feet out of interest? and do you always use this and booties for every pedicure or just a luxury pedicure??

HI, I currently use the Kaeso manicure and pedicure range which I get from ASK Hair & Beauty Supplies - the masks are lovely and creamy and smell lucious!; I use small food bags to cover the hand/foot before placing them inside the heated mitt/bootie. This is my standard treatment, but I do offer a basic file and polish.

The rasp I use is again from the wholesalers, its one where the rasp can be detatched so I can sterilise it easily

happy to help :)

Regular pedi:

Foot spa soak and dry
Cuticle away and cuticle work
Cut and file nails
hard skin removal
sanitiser over toe nails
massage
squeak nails
paint

Jacqui xx

How long do you allow for a pedicure treatment?

As I am about to head out the door for a pedicure now:
45 mins to an hour depending on how bad the cuticle/nail/etc is and how much filing I have to do or cutting.

I don't do masks, just a deep foot/leg massage but my steps are pretty much the same as theirs. Since most of my pedis are older men, I can cut out the time for polishing and dedicate that time to caring for the ingrown nails/cuticle issues most men have.

Oh and I do not use the foot rasp (I call it a cheese grater) on my clients feet. I will use a pumice stone, glass file, and pumice bar. I only pull out my grater IF they need heel work done.

Ooh what are these new bowls that keep the heat? Do you have a link please? Thanks.x

I do the following:

Remove any polish
Cut and file toe nails
Use foot file if needed and rasp
Apply foot scrub and give good scrub
Leave feet in foot soak
Dry feet and do massage
Wipe over toes with acetone
Cuticle work
Wipe toes with scrub fresh
Apply polish

So i was just going over ways to make my pedicure better! And i recently watched a foot logix video and changed it up a bit. Also i work from home and a spa so i have two different approaches since one is a dry pedicure.

1. evaluation and take off polish
2. soak (footlogix or gena)
3. exfoliate one foot at at time while the other is in the water. ( i use bella lucce and change the scent every few months)
4. spray callus softner (footlogix)
5. repair/prepair (cut/ file/cuticle/ smooth with buffer)
* 4 and 5 are really one step to me. cut and file first then spray then finish
6. foot file (cuccio)
7. DD mouse from foot logix on foot and in between toes
8. polish ( i use vinlylux)
9.let dry while cleaning implements
10. moisturize/ massage (cuccio butter: afterwards so i dont have to remove all the oil before i polish)
*Spa: In between 6 and 7 i apply a seasonal mask and paraffin over that, use hot towles to remove any left over residue, then use hot stone to massage

At home, they lay on a heated (Bio-mat) massage table:
1. evaluation and take off polish
2. tea tree spray (footlogix or gena)
3. 2 step exfoliation removed by hot towel (first i use the seaweed scrub by gena or footlogix, then i use bella lucce and change the scent every few months)
4. spray callus softner (footlogix)
5. repair/prepair (cut/ file/cuticle/ smooth with buffer)
* 4 and 5 are really one step to me. cut and file first then spray then finish
6. foot file (cuccio)
7. honey drizzle from bella lucce. wrap hot towel around foot for a minute then remove
8. DD mouse from foot logix on foot and in between toes
9. polish ( i use sparitual)
10.let dry while cleaning implements
11. moisturize/ hot stone massage (home made butter: afterwards so i dont have to remove all the oil before i polish)
*Spa: Before i start they get a 15 minute soak in the ionic foot detox, then between 7 and 8 i do a seasonal mask and their feet go into booties , hot towels to remove

When it comes to where i say gena or footlogix... I cant always afford footlogix. And gena is half the cost and is easy to find if i forget to place an order.

Hi, I've never used any footlogix products before. How does the dd you spoke of work?

The poster you've quoted has been absent from the site since January of this year, so you may prefer to create a new thread if you still need an answer to the question.

This thread is over 5 years old too.

As above, the poster you've quoted has also been absent from the site since the middle of last year.

You may then prefer to create a new thread if you still need an answer?

Take a look at this thread in the meantime though:
