Hi
My boss is promoting pedicures this month.
I think it's too early and our salon isn't the warmest of salons. It's been very cold here.
What's everyone's thought?

The point of promotions is to generate extra bookings on top of what will come in anyway at full price.
Therefore salons do not run promotions on treatments during their popular months.

I run a different promotion each month so what I do is look through the appointment book to see what is already booked in and avoid any promotions on these treatments .

This way you maximise your income. Pedicures are a good promotion to run in the winter months. Go with it!

I think that if you have pedicure customers all year round, it makes the Summer pedicures SO much easier!

And, as CFBS, says; the point of a promotion is to increase bookings on the less popular treatments at certain times of years. You'd never run a pedi promo during Summer.
