Peel off gel polish

Hi I had a client in tonight asking if I did peel off gel polish . I was confused as I have never heard of this.
She said she had it done where the base coat and top coat is peel off . She said she soaked her hands in warm water for 10 minutes and they peeled off . They lasted 2 weeks and only come off when she started to peel .
Has anyone heard of this ? I am so confused lol x
