I have a lady who's got red hair at the moment, around a base 6/7. she wanted to go a pinky colour so last time I used 8.77x indola with 30 vol. the colour was lovely and its a brand I usually use for bright colours/reds but she's asked if I could try a different brand as she found it slightly itchy. I explained it would be itchy (she's not allergic as she's been to me for years and had regular skin tests). she said if I couldn't find. similar colour that she will be okay, but just wondered if anyone could recommend a colour like 8.77x (light blonde extra violet) or a raspberry pink red.

Thanks... Bex :)

Clients shouldn’t feel any discomfort when having colour or bleach applied.

Allergies can come on quite suddenly even after years of using the same product without any issues.
Hormones can cause our bodies to react differently and also, product manufacturers are continuously developing their formulas so it could be a simple change of concentration of a particular ingredient that can cause a reaction.
I recommend always do a skin test before every colour with this particular client as itchy skin is often one of the first symptoms of a developing allergy so you need to be vigilant.
She might only suffer from a mild discomfort when the product is applied at the moment, but it could easily worsen. You could also consider moving to a full head of foils rather than a global scalp application.
