Please be clear about subject when giving a thread a title

I know that it has become rather common place for texting terminology to make its way into everyday speech and writing but I've noticed it in posts, threads and thread titles. Lord knows I'm guilty myself of the occasional "OMG" and the "LOL" in a sentence.

But seriously, some of the posts, threads and thread titles, I honestly don't understand due to excessive use of texting terminology.
