Please help with infill pricing

I don't think I charge enough for Infills so with it being a new year id like to tweak my price list.
I currently charge £15 for acrylic infill then add £5 for gel. But I have some ladies that come every 3/4 weeks and I'm doing one or two repairs which I don't charge for because I'm soft [emoji19] plus it takes just as long as a new set because I hand file the gel off they have on.
What do you ladies charge for 2 week infill then 3+ weeks infill please?
And also repairs?
I really need to be firmer with my prices now I'm more established xx

I charge £22 for infills, I like the idea of a different price depending on 2/3 weeks etc but don't do it myself. If they go too long I usually end up charging more because of replacements.

If they want shellac over, I add £5, more for ombre, glitters or nail art

I charge £3 less than a full set which would include 2 breakages.

If there's 3+ breakages then they're full price.

Product charge is minimal for nails, you should be charging for your time. It takes me pretty much the same time for an infill as it does a full set so charge accordingly.

Pricing will depend on your area but i am not sure why you charge less for L and P then you do for gel ?

I charge £26 and that is for French or colour . £20 for just natural . No repairs included

I used to do 2 free repairs included and found that people just took the p and even if no breakages they would say ' oh can I have a new one on there and there please ' !!!! simply because they wanted one !

In theory its good practice to charge diff prices for diff gaps but in practice people can be very funny about this . I have some ladies that can go 4 weeks easy with perfect nails and then others that could t wreck their nails in 2 weeks because they don't take care of them

I think you could introduce a 'surcharge ' for nails over 3 weeks but don't charge less for 2 weeks as the amount of work needed will not be that much difference

Completely agree. I can also imagine petty squabbles at around 2.5 weeks - is it 2 or is it 3? Or a client booking for 2 weeks, then being ill and you effectively penalising them by charging more because they've gone into the next band[emoji33] - I don't think I could stand the stress lol

My nail tech friend in a different area charges more for over 3 weeks because after that time there is more likely to be issues. I just feel I'm undercharging myself in general because it does take as much time as a new set. I have one girl who doesn't look after her nails that comes every 3 weeks n I end up soaking 2-3 off and redoing and I feel £20 isn't enough. I know I need to be firm and charge for repairs but I feel she does take the 'p' xx

I think it's because in your initial post you said you added £5 for gel. I presumed you meant gel-polish but think perfect10 presumed you meant gel as in a gel extension product rather than acrylic

Thats exactly what I though ;-)

It pays to be very specific when talking about products . I am a gel girl through and through so when people say gel , then yes i assume gel as in builders etc . If you had put gel colours be it a polish or otherwise then that would have been clearer to me lol

Apologies blossom I missed your comment. I have put my price up as of the 1st march giving my clients plenty of notice. I won't be doing the different time scale, the whole idea of it was to persuade them to look after their nails better or come back sooner if they don't want to pay more but even at £15 it's still cheap so I've just increased the whole price to save any messing or confusion xx
