I am new to the nail industry. Having had a baby last year I am looking to enroll in a course that will give me a good grounding in all aspects of the industry ie. gels acrilic silk and so on. Please can anyone recommend a good company to use as there are so many offering qualifications that i just dont know who to choose! Thanks!

I would train with the product that you are going to use. CND is amazing, they do lots of courses, their website is sweetsquared.com or .co.uk :) good luck

I trained with Gelish as that's the brand I wanted to use. I loved the course and was a complete beginner, best thing I ever did :) I had to do mani/pedi first and then the gelish course, but they do a gelish design course as well as acrylic courses and advanced courses. Definitely train with the company that you want to use xx

I also trained with nail harmony in acrylics, mani, pedi & Gelish.

The Training was brilliant and very informative. I came away with the knowledge and confidence to start my business and haven't looked back :) x

Thankyou all so much for the advice. A great forum with such helpful people! :D x

Hey!! I did the same, had a baby then trained in nails. I had a mani/pedi cert from a course I did when I was 19. I opted to go with CND as they are such a well known brand.

I went for shellac beginners which was great - complete kit and brilliant education. I then went on to do l&p, spa mani and have done all the pre requisites to master painter which I got last month [emoji5]️ I only started my journey in July and my ea has been with me every step of the way, always there when I have questions and has helped me look for work too! I can't recommend Anna and CND enough and s2 are fab too. Really helpful, best thing I ever did!! Xxx

Thankyou!! Im going to give Anna a ring now! So hard to know what route to go down without an awful lot of industry knowledge! CND have been recommended to me a lot now although typically they seem to be the most expensive!

They are expensive but the kits you bet are also very good so it does make it worthwhile :) cx

What was the price of this course as I looked at CND and it is a bit expensive for me at the moment.

Also do you need a manicure certificate before you could do this course?

A manicure certificate is a requirement before any nail enhancement course.
