for every post you make or every thread you start you get a certain number of points.
click on the squiggly icon at the top right hand side of the screen to see what you can spend your points on http://www.thenailgeek.com/ushop.php
If you look at the Site Assistance threads there is a bit of info about the Geekmolians and how they work.
You can change your user name, have your name italicised, name glowing and other stuff.
