Hey all

So I have had the amazing news that I have the salon I've wanted and worked blooming hard for...... for yonks! Signed and sealed last week. The idea was that I would start on my own and get one self employed beautician and one or two stylists. Then further down the line I would look at employing.

However....... I have just found out I'm 5 wweks pregnant! Due August, and I'll be having a C-section so I'll know the date.

How do I do this? I have always found August quiet so I was thinking i could I have a month or two off max, or could I have longer if I employed someone? My problem probably like you all is can I truly trust someone with my business?

My current home situation is that i have an amazing husband with a good job, a sister who is a stay at home mum who has offered to be my childminder (I will pay her)

Tips, & advice needed urgently please xxx

Hi Hun,

Double congratulations, what an amazing 2017 you are going to have!!!

You are extremely lucky to have a good solid home situation so this should be a breeze for you Hun. I'm self employed and have 3 children. I had natural births and took between 2-6 weeks off with each. With a section you will need at least 6 weeks but also you will just want to enjoy been a new mamma.

This is totally do-able so try not to stress about it, work as hard as you can to build your business before your bump gets too big and uncomfortable, maybe you could also take on a self employed person who could cover your work whilst your off or maybe a temp??

9 months is a long time and you have the bonus of knowing your due date and the added bonus of handing your baby over to your sister to look after so you will know they are in safe hands.

Xxx
