am i being odd here?
but me personally it wouldnt take me any longer to do a 7.5 week old set to doing one that was two weeks old,
and i would charge the same personally
jmho

Really Nik ? I know it would me,zone two would basically have moved up to zone 1 so more debulking than a regular rebal, more prep as it hasn't been kept up to like my two week clients, completely remove then reapply zone 1 rather than just lowering the smile (small bead) buil up zone 2 and reapply zone 3.

Maybe it's juts me,i think i would still take me longer ?!??!

dunno then!!! LOL
maybe i go at mine all the same , got me thinking now,

no, i ve had a think and it would take me the same amount of time, as i normally remove most of the white at each rebalance anyway,

in fact when i have clients with loads of growth i find them easier to tackle than someone who comes back every two weeks and hardly nothing has changed!!

same amount of time allocated for me, so same price!
not saying that this is better or worse for me just my observation about me!

Cool :D My rebal consists of minmal removal and minimal product replacement,i personally find this way more efficient and less time consuming, horses for courses :D

Hi, I have to say that i do agree that a removal and full set should be charged not only is this due to the amount of work involved in correcting the look of the nail, ( as we all know the final look is the element that our clients look at) but on a professional basis i would possibly find that both the product and the natural nail have been made weak by its unbalance also possible that "nasties" that we cant see could have crept in so the nail needs to be totally re sanitised before any further product is applied. If we just filled or back-filled these nails we are opening ourselves up to a multitude of potential problems, IE the nails may break at some point because the original product has been weakened or we could end up with an infection if we seal it in with new product. I would advise that you explain the above to your client so she knows you are not just wanting to take her pennies but you are actually looking after her this should justify the cost to her in a nice friendly professional manner. Good luck. H x

It depends....
I have clients coming back sometimes after 6-7 weeks. They usually have the nails so grown out that there is barely any product left on their nails.
It actually takes less time for me to do their nails because all I do is I shorten the nails and I remove the very thin layer of gel (whatever was near the cuticle is very thin and in that area I apply white gel). Then I proceede with natural nail overlay (usually I do pink and white gel).
I don't find that the amount of product used for that makes any noticable difference and timewise.. well...it takes me less time.
So I charge for regular rebalance.
Here is 8 week rebalance tutorial I did years ago (now I do my rabalances little different, but you get the idea)

Now if they come with all broken nails.... I extend them and charge for full set.

Also I ask ahead of time how their nails are doing and book accordingly.

How did you go with the reblance... did you end up charging more?.., what did she say?
very interested, as i said i have those clients too

for Safety and Sanitation sake its a new set and soak off charge.
