I have been doing acrylic nails properly for about a year, I’ve recently had a client with short/stumpy ish nails complain about the acrylics lasting a week?

I thought it may be down to miss use of the acrylic nails but she still complained..
Now doubting myself that I have done the correct procedure/right acrylic and how do I make the situation better... offer half price? Free set etc?

What does she mean lasting a week? What's happened? X

Has she provided a photo or have you seen her nails? She may just be after a freebie?! Did you give aftercare advice/instructions?

Yeah and she’s had her nails done with me before - no problems as I’m aware

It's hard to say, were the tips fitting correctly? Did you do a dry manicure before? (Not wet) was there anything you did different or maybe forgot, say dehydrator/primer? She shouldn't have taken the rest off, I would politely lecture her about coming back to you with any problems and not to take any remaining nails off. You could've just redone the remaining nails. Not sure if I'd offer her a re do after taking the others off. Maybe you could offer to redo at a discount but lay on the aftercare advice quite thick. If she's not looking after them she will ruin them x

I’m only a student but if you’ve only had 1 client complain in a year of doing them I’d say you’ve been doing a good job!

If 3 popped off like she said they did (which I doubt) then she should have come back or informed you straight away. There was no reason to remove the rest if they were fine, she could have just been rebooked for repairs. Sounds dodgy to me.

Did you take a pic before she left or has she sent a pic when apparently 3 came off? x
