Pros of renting a chair

Hi all I have potentially found a salon to rent a chair in (something I've done before) but the lady is worried I may take some business from her if /when I leave (Ideally I want more children before I set up alone anyway so looking long term rental) can you let me know as from an owners perspective what the pros are of having a self employed stylist?
