Hi all

I am a qualified beauty therapist and have been suffering with really bad psoriasis on my scalp and no matter what I use it just gets worse.

Any advice on products I could use?

TIA

Get yourself to a doctor if you haven't already.

I use dovabet gel and rub that in to my scalp when it gets bad [emoji17]

Not a pro here but I was a psoriasis sufferer my whole life until I went gluten free for a year (mostly out of curiosity) and got rid of it all including on my scalp. I'm not completely gluten free anymore (but with a healthier lifestyle in general) but try to keep an eye out not to go overboard with it and even though I do have some little spots coming and (more importantly) going it hasn't come back like it used to be (big areas of scaling and bloody cracks).

Before that I got some relief from coconut oil masques but obviously they don't eliminate it. Stuff prescribed by the doctors always had only a temporary effect. Perhaps times have moved on and there are better medical options now but I'm just happy changing my diet did the trick for me. Even if had to stay completely gluten free diet to keep it away it would be a small price to pay for me at least.

I paid to see a dermatologist privately & was was prescribed all different things and dovobet gel is the only thing that gets rid of mine which you can get from a regular doctor.
I use it everyday for about a week (leave on overnight and wash in the morning)
Then just use it as and when if It flares up. x

My clients psoriasis that was over face and scalp cleared from removing tomatoes from her diet. The improvement was amazing. Unless you eat no tomatoes it may be worth a try x

I've suffered for about 15 years and tried so many lotions, potions, shampoos, oils and remedies, the only thing I have had any success with is Bumble & Bumble's Marine sea kelp shampoo. It's not cheap, the conditioner is rubbish on my hair but love the shampoo, scale free for about 6 months now which is unheard of

Had it on my scalp mainly all my life :( Betnovate scalp application relieves the itching & exfoliates the skin build up - smells to high heaven but it's been the only thing to stop itching (for myself) x

I suffer from dermatitis on the scalp. I really have to be careful what shampoos I use as certain ones really irritate it. I haven't found anything that's got rid of it but I have been prescribed Betacap that I put on the area when it's bad. It does relieve the itching.
