Yes, it's just the way things are done here and when you get a service like nails or hair or even tattoos, you have to factor a tip in with the price.

I couldn't really downgrade my pedis to that woman, but I sure did go the extra mile with her...cutting what she asked me to even though it's illegal, using a "spa pedi" product on her because her feet were SO bad, using a richer creme, taking a long long long time pumicing her feet...I went above and beyond with her, but she's shown me to not do that again with her.

Hi Callie! *hugs*
Sometimes we go out of the way for our clients, but they just don't appreciate it. I remember giving this woman a pedicure, and she was telling me how she was looking for the perfect pink polish for her wedding. So i grabbed al the pink polishes that sounded close to what she wanted. She actually wanted me to try them all (about 12 bottles), on her toes! Now I know sometimes you test out two or three colors on a client before they know which one they want, but 12! Never mind that fact that she was having a Spa pedicure, and she was making me run behind for my next appointment with her undecisiveness. Anyway, we found the right pink, but I didn't have anymore to sell to her, so I let her have the bottle for free! (Something my boss would have fried me for!) So when it was time for her to leave, the front desk was giving her her totals, and she says "Spa Pedicure? I didn't get a Spa Pedicure". Hearing this, I immediately came to the desk, and the receptionist asked me if I had indeed given her a spa pedicure. I looked the woman in the eyes and said "Remember, the sea scrub we used, and you asked me what was in it? Remember the blue cooling mask that you said felt really good?" So she looked flustered, and had the audacity to say "Well, I didn't ask for that!" Mind you, it WAS written on my schedule, and I told her about everything I was using while I was doing the pedicure. And top that off, I gave her a free bottle of polish, and she actually had the nerve to try to lie her way out of paying for a $75 pedicure. I was soooo angry with her. My boss settled the matter, and I hope I never see her again. So the point is, sometimes we go out of the way for people, and they just don't appreciate it.
