I have just got these picture from Jim Duff, Chemist @ Creative Nail Design...
As you know Doug took part in the walk for a cure event in San Diego.........and I thought with our Raffle for a cure it was very apt to post this............. Just to show you all that even the top of the industry tree, take cancer very serious and donate not just money but also their time to find a cure globaly for breast cancer.......
Some of you might think, oh yea thats to benefit the states so what about us......Well it is like the dominoe effect........... find a cure where ever in the world and the whole world will benefit......... who cares which country finds a cure as long as we find one..............Then we can all benefit !!!!!!!

Here is a little write up about it:

Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk

The San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, was held October 1-3. The three-day San Diego event attracted 2,800 walkers (including about 100 men), who each had to raise a minimum of $2,000. The 60-mile trek ultimately raised over $6.7 million for breast cancer research, outreach and educational programs.

Creative Nail Design’s team, the Creative Cure, was made up of Doug Schoon, Jim Duff, Zoraida Hernandez, Erika Barrett and Marilyn Bockstahler. The team, with donations from Creative Nail Design, Creative employees, business partners, their friends and families, raised approximately $14,000 for the Foundation. They walked in the memory and support of Creative employees and others they know that have been affected by the disease.

Every year, 40,000 women (and men) die from the disease in the U.S. alone. The 3-Day walks are held in various cities throughout the country. You can log on to www.the3day.org to register for a walk or to get more information on volunteering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
