Hi all,

Ok so i died my hair red around January time, Iv died it 3/4 since (Live xxl Red) but now want to be back blonde. My natural colour is a mousybrown colour but iv always had high lighted hair.
I went to the salon, they done a hair strand test and said it was safe to put a whole head of high lights over my red as it did not need to be stripped (as it didnt turn pink and took rather well to the bleach).
SO now i have half a head of high light but it still looks very red. you only notie the high lights really when i have my hair up and on my roots. People have said it looks nice and that it definitely isnt a ginger color.
However I cant afford to go back and have ANOTHER full head of highlights so was wondering if i could do my self at home without it going ginger?

I have from previous colour 'LUOCOLUR pO1' 'teknique universal colour release' and 'cream peroxide 6% 20 vol.

Can i use thi and in what quantieis to die my hair more of a blonde colour. I dont really want to be bleach blonde, but dont mind going quite blonde to get this red out before going more to an ash??

So some help and guidance would be much appreciated, as I do not want to fry my hair and i dont want to be a ginger colour.

Is this luocolour a toner?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is a massive job and not one you could do yourself even with 10+ years of experience as the application has to be staggered to ensure an even result. None of the products you have would do anything either.

If budget is a problem though, have you thought about approaching a local salon as a model for one of their trainees to demonstrate a colour correction for part of their NVQ Level 3? Or any FE college who runs hairdressing courses would be glad to have you as a model. It will cost buttons and all work will be overseen, plus you'll get the result you want too. That's my best advice. Good luck!

Dont use that colour . We cant advise you on this , but I can advise you not to do that! You have a very complex case all I can advise you to do is to leave it as long as possible till you can afford to get it done professionally.

hey ladies,

thanks for the reply. I shall leave it alone then :)
