HELP!!! I installed a whole head of pre bonded extension from halo. I;ve never used these before. I had to colour them to match my clients already tinted hair, The colour was perfect. The client was extatic. 10 days later, the extensions have gone into a matted ball. I've removed the huge ball of hair and now have a problem that the bonds are not dissolving with the bond remover. Has anyone any suggestions what to do next. I will be contacting Halo tomorrow. This has never happend to any other extensions I have installed. The bonds and roots are tangle free, so I'm confident its not the way I have imstalled them

The only thing I can suggest is that they haven't been looked after properly Hun?? Other than that not sure xx

Could be that the hair wasnt great anyway , if it wasnt cuticle intact and in good condition before you tinted it , the tinting could of stripped it of any coatings which are applied to cheaper quality hair hence the the big ball.

Thanks for your replies. I've just contacted Halo who were as much good as a chocolate teapot. They offered a pack of Hair for 'filling in'. I still have the problem of removal. I think I will have to reverse the process and heat the bonds, slip them out and not have too much glue to remove at the end. Any more suggestions would be appritiatedxx

PS I paid the going rate for these. They weren't your cheap cheap xx

Halo is awfully cheap. Going rate? Not really. It's super cheap hair. Halo is really really bad the hair is so dry and the bonds are tiny and you get sooooo little hair in their packs is ridiculous. I just bought once to see, sent it right back. Most likely the hair wasn't good to begin with, and as previous poster said the toner stripped it of its coating that they put on cheap hair and then it went into a big matted ball. That teamed with the clients not using proper aftercare is probably what caused this. Do you provide clients with correct aftercare products?

Aggre with the above for why they are matting. As for getting them out, I know that Cinderella Hair bonds cant be removed with normal acetone, they need their special remover (about 5 times the price! handy!!)
Are you using the Halo remover (if they have one) If not, you could try using the Cinderella one....
I wouldnt melt them off as you'll be left with residue that will need removing anyway...
xxxx

I have removed cinderella hair extensions with pure acetone from Salon Services it does work. I did it same way I do any prebonded method. That was until I found the Balmain removal gun which cuts down the time.

Really? Ive tried a couple of times but the bonds just wouldnt break down:sad: what acetone was it? xx

I finally got the rascals out. I broke them down with a little heat, then used bond remover. Took 4 hours. I've now installed fresh bonds that I got from my regular supplier. Although I supplied aftercare instructions, I have gone through the instructions once again. I found out that my clients Mum had washed her hair in a sink! This is the first time I've had problems with matting bonds. You other Ladies are right. Pay a bit more and use good quality
