OK try not to laugh too much.........

Decided last night to give myself a spray with my new tantrick minimist with 10%,on the upper part of my body (nobody sees anywhere else at the mo!),I spent ages exfoliating beforehand, sprayed face, neck,,chest, arms and hands.
Woke up this morning and I have the most orange streaky hands I have ever seen ARGH!!! Luckily its my day off today, but is there anything I can do to try and remove this or am I stuck with it for a few days??? i look awful, not gonna go out today without gloves!!!:Scared: :Scared: :Scared:

Keep washing them

I am the same, I went to a nail class yesterday and was mortified when i was used as a model as all the girls could see - my hands looked filthy, even though they weren't!

I had been on the sunbed to ease my back and used a tanning lotion I'd requested as I thought customers would like it... so I sampled it.. it made me look Orange and as it had bronzers in it which last a while... I am stuck with it!!!

Bronzer is worse than spray tan solution !

Just out of bath, scrubed with exfoliator and pumice (gently) still look awful!!!

go swimming the chlorine in the water will strip the tan

hth

Yup just keep exfoliating, it'll take a couple of days for it to totally go! Sorry Lisa, but I am laughing!!! You won't make that mistake again! Wear gloves next time hun

The underside of my hands are ok as wore gloves to do body, but took them off to "lightly" mist top of hand....dunno where I went wrong!....maybe too wet and too close??

It's like anything when you do it on yourself, you're all at the wrong angle and it makes it really difficult to do - and very easy to get it wrong.

do you have any pre-wax cleanse from clean n easy, I find that takes it off or maybe another cleanser thats quite harsh.

very true!
it is very hard to tan yourself....try and get someone to do it for you if you can. hope its gone real soon xx  xx

Just come back from town, quite chilly out so got away with gloves, lucky its not summer! Got a "fake tan corrector wipe" from superdrug, says works best if used within 4hrs of application, but worth a go! xx

sun spa do great exfoliating wipes, i use them when tanning clients....i get them to rub the wipe between the palms of their hands just to be on the safe side!

here's a link ~ Sun Spa, Sunless Tanning.
their customer service is fantastic!

Thanks Freckles x

i was told oil based products fade fake tan

Just another tip for removing tan....it worked for me when i quikly applied some tan before bed and forgot to wash hands!! Agrh! Anyway found this on the internet and i couldn't believe it, the tan literally dissolved off my skin!

Run hands under warm tap then rub hands together with a teaspoon of ordinary washing powder and a squirt of fairy washing up liquid it's amazing, although i wouldn't recommend this if you have sensitive skin! It may leave you a little pink so definately only do this on non sensitive skinned emergencies!

xxx

Yes Froggies's right there.. the washing up powder and fairy liquid works great!!

i confess

i did have a little giggle as soon as i had a mental image of your orange hands

sorry

Well its been 3 day and although my face is pale again myflipping hands are still day-glo orange, lol!!! .......just seen washing powder tips.....watch this space....thanks xx

How about trying "johnsons and johnsons" baby shampoo?
it's known for stripping/fading some colour out of hair?
Why not off skin?

Maybe rub it in, leave it on for a while (put on gloves or something?)
Then rinse off?

Just an idea I guess..

Good luck!

I was told by my trainer that Dove Body wash strips the tan. Give it try. xxx

Was gonna give the washing powder a go until I realise I use liquid tabs,lol.....I did try Head and Shoulders shampoo as when I dyed hair last time it was too dark and it did a great job at fading that.....but no such luck on hands, been using liquid soap with a teaspoon of sugar in twice a day, faded a little,re-did my face and neck last night, wasn't so sticky afterwards,so I think maybe my first go was too wet,but if it happens again, will definatly give your ideas a try, thank you all sooo much........had 3 people booked now from local rag advert, can't wait!!! thanks again xxxx
