Ok retailing for myself is quite easy don't know why guess I'm just honest and tell them what they need and why but I sell a lot :)

But as christmas is on it's way do you add more promo packs to your retail? Or special Christmas products and how do you go about retailing them? Do you have anything that you bring back every year? Let's all share ideas and all help to boost retail

Very good idea for a thread Bluerinse.

I agree with you, I love retailing, and find it quite easy to sell too, I think if you believe in your products, there is very little 'sell' needed, just lots of enthusiasm and honesty.

I retail Matrix and Moroccan Oil, every year I buy a few Moroccan Oil gift bags which retail between £30-35 each and they always go. I also sell Matrix Biolage gift sets, for £19.50 each, included is a shampoo, conditioner and a free gift of shine spray. This year with the new Matrix Total Results range, we are making up gift bags too. I always get a few funky coloured hair dryers in, they are always popular.

I buy some tasteful Christmas bags, ribbon and crepe paper and we gift wrap every purchase, free of charge, which always goes down well.

I also do an offer on gift vouchers, if you spend over £30 a free mini conditioning treatment is included in the voucher price.

I always put a few bits out beginning of November, and then the full works from 1st December, I find if I start too early it puts people off.

My staff get 10% of all sales and at Christmas I add a few hair products to who ever is the top seller.

See I too have matrix which I will get a few packs in, but oil wise I'm a bit behind, don't know weather to get some in for Xmas

I love Moroccan Oil, to be honest could not live without it, and I rarely say that about anything.

I have PM'd you with a bit more detail - I hope you get it, I am not great with all this computer stuff:lol: Let me know please x.

I am not a Hair Geek, but a Nail Geek who now happens to work within her sisters Hair Salon!

This year the Salon has done a bomb in Christmas retail promo packs. They use Clynol products and got in some Clynol Clutch bags with hair products within......and have already had to reorder more 3 times and it is still only November!!
They have also stocked Orofluido Oil gift sets with the gold Powder Spray which is lovely..not as good a seller for the Salons clientel, but has still done well!

I think in the current economic climate people are looking to purchase good products from people they trust, so who better than your hairdresser!

Get the Maroccan Oil! That stuff is amazing. Me and clients swear by it. For me retail is quite easy as extension products are not readily available so it saves clients time getting an aftercare pack from me. I made my own aftercare packs. I do find making offers or gift packs works really well to make people try and then buy bigger bottles. But gift bags are great as they are a whole solution and they get everything in there. I sell loads of those.
