Ridges

Hi geeks would post this in consumer quieries but can't cos I'm on my phone.

I've always had very strong nails and lately they have been peeling & breaking right down to the skin at the sides and now they have got ridges and I dont know why- could anyone tell me why this is happening?im not brilliant with looking after them aha thanks! Amy xx

Hi Love, sorry I didn't want to read and run but I am not experienced enough to give advice have only been doing nails for a few months. All I can think is that maybe you are a little run down or hormonal issues or trauma or nutritional issues.

I am sure a proper longstanding nail geek wil come along shortly to advise you

maybe you should visit your gp and get your bloods done. see how you go with that first.

thanks both! i did a quick google and i read that iron deficiancy (sp?) can cause this. me & my mom have thought for a while that i might be suffering from this for numerous reasons so im going to say this to the docs xx
