Wonder if anyone know why this has happened?

my hair is fading from ash blonde and the roots looking a little golden so i used an ash toner and shader packet wash-in wash-out apparently!

Its washed out of the top again but my ends look a greyish purple and it wont budge.

Hiya,
It's because your attemting a diy job. Go to a professional hairdresser or college training salon and they will be able to correct this, and if you continue having your hair coloured by a professional it won't happen again. X

hi isnt the shaders and toners packet just a shampoo like touch of silver?

I dont DIY colour my hair my hairdresser suggest that i use this or the superdrug version in between colouring as the top of my hair goes golden much quicker than the ends and to be honest i normally would just leave it golden as it isnt that noticeable i just had to have work photo done.

it only looks this greyish/purple tinge on ends in really bright light and i actually like it lol and thinking of getting it all over but it is so not worth having my hair coloured againb after only 3 weeks especially when paying out £145 a time.:green:

As far as my knowledge goes it is a toner, but that is still a colouring product and can still go wrong.

I would suggest next time going to a college training salon just for a toner, most of the time it'll only cost a couple of pounds or buying a silver shampoo and shampoo it on the roots only.

Get a good silver shampoo and alternate between using that when it's get too gold and using an ordinary shampoo.
