Hi there my hair is a bit like Jennifer Aniston but every 2/3 weeks I colour my roots with 8/0 and 8/1 majreal. But keep getting a transparent look any ideas please

What's your natural root like before it's coloured? What percentage of white?

grey and about a 6 natural

Are you a qualified hairdresser?

Okay, just asking as yiur profile doesn't state that you are, when you get chance it'll be worth updating your profile, this will help you get respsones to your threads. What developer are you using with the 8/1+8/0?

20%

Sorry, but I’m a bit confused by your posts.
Two quarters make a half so did you actually mean 50/50?
If so, I’m wondering why are you diluting the tone by adding in the 8?
Are you leaving it to develop for the full development time?
Are you mixing your tint accurately with scales or just eyeballing it?

What have you used on it previously and why did you change your formula?

It would help if you give much more information as we can’t see your hair so all we can offer at this stage is wild guesses.

I use 8/0 quarter and quarter of 8/1 to kill the golden out still get transparent does not last after first wash
Do you know your exact formula and how are you applying it? How long are you leaving it?

What are you using 8.0? Is it 8 or 8.0 you are using?
I think you are overlapping the colour therefore making it darker on the previously colored hair and making the regrowth are look lighter.
With only 20% grey there’s no need to add base into formula

I'm sorry but with out complete answers we are going to struggle to give you advice.

I use 8/0 quarter and quarter of 8/1 with 20vol 30 mins after they buy I get the transparent look so I think I should use quarter of 8/0 and quarter of 7/0 20vol jest do u think

If you're only 20% white you shouldn't technically need the 8/0 anyway. I think you need to weigh your colour and developer to make sure you're getting a consistent formula every time. Development time is 35mins. So what yiu should have is 15g of 8/0 + 15g 8/1 +30g 6%, make sure you apply plenty of product, work in fine sections and leave for the full development time.
