We have had our salon in the current location for 5 years and have a good clientele, our lease is up and we have decided to relocate locally and we are very excited about the venture. However, the new premises is currently not a salon so we need to start from scratch putting up partition walls etc and its really hard to work out how long it will all take. We have to be out of our current premises on 24th Feb 17, we will have the keys from 1st Feb 17, so long as all goes to plan.
I want to be closed for business for the least amount of time possible but don't want to be unrealistic and book clients in and then not be ready. But I also can't afford to pay staff when they aren't bringing in any revenue.
If anyone has been through this and has any tips they would be gratefully received! Also, do any of you know statistically which may be the best day of the week to re open? I am thinking a Thursday as this tends to be busy, but then if we have been closed for a week or more will it matter?
Any thought or tips?
Thank you so much in advance!
