Hi I'm new to the site!!
I currently own a small hair salon, I've got a 1 year old and would love more children. So my issue is running a salon is time consuming and very expensive. Has anybody got and advice in regards of running a salon from home, we are considering having a garage conversion or summer house type building to work from, this will take the stress of the salon away, some travelling and expense of salon rent. I know there are a lot of pros and cons so I am happy to hear what anybody had to offer.
Thank you in advance x

I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and love working from home. Yes, sometimes it's difficult having people at home, but the majority of my clients are family or friends or have become friends and accept that the kids will pop their heads in and say hello. I also love it when colour is developing... I'll shut the door and head off to do some washing or something. I haven't really noticed a huge increase in my bills, but I only do part time
