Hi guys,
I have just become a salon owner and am looking to rent out 2 beauty rooms , a nail desk area and a makeup station.
I don’t know where to start as to pricing or commission, or if to give them keys or monitor their hours etc... need help asap

Your starting point...

Remember they are just your tenants, not your staff so you do need to give them keys and you can’t control their hours, what services are offered or the prices they choose to charge. Interview prospective tenants to make sure they will suit the vibe of your salon.

A set rent is the easier to manage compared to commission and you shouldn’t put their clients payments through your till otherwise you risk issues with HMRC, especially if it takes you over the VAT threshold.
