Leah's Nails
Hello hi nail ladies,
I'm new to this although I have been browsing this forum for months, this is my first time posting.
I'm currently managing a busy town centre nail Salon in my home town. I have been managing 1 year and worked here for 3. In this time I have built up a huge client base from scratch! I'm mainly a nail technician (Acrylics, hard gel, gel polish) but I do waxing, intimate waxing, massage, tinting, tanning etc as well. I'm come to realise I don't even take home half of what i make for the Salon and i would be so much better self employed.
Anywho, i'll get to the point in a moment (I'm a rambler) I was looking for some advise...
My thoughts so far are to hire a nail desk or rent a room in a Hairdresses. Reason being - I do not want to be 'another' nail tech. I want to be THE nail tech (as cocky as that sounds) I'm good at what i do, and that is why i am in high demand. I will be using top shelf products and not putting my prices down to match said nail salons prices. Which i believe are cheap in my area (£20-£25) My regular clients will be happy to pay more for my services.
Question 1
What do you self employed nail techs pay for rent
2
What are we all pricing acrylics/gels etc and how long do you take?
Thanking you xxxx
