Just a quick one that I know most of you can answer.....

What would you expect/like to be paid as a senior stylist?

Do you think you get paid enough for the work you do and the experience you have and offer in the salon?

The general rule of thumb was that a senior is paid about a third of their takings. This was calculated on the full amount, not the after vat amount

As much as possible!! Hahaha! Jokes!

In Edinburgh/Glasgow a senior stylist can expect to earn UP TO £30,000 depending on who they work for obviously! A lot of the senior stylists here are also art directors and or trainers of trainee's. Some on the art teams also do hair for celebs for things like t in the park rockness mobo awards and stuff!

With stuff like that on your CV you can't go wrong!! x

Sounds about right. A top earner down here is between 40 to 50k

Yeh I reckon our salon managers would be on that or thereabouts.

I'm lucky I have a brilliant job where we r paid a good wage that I would say does equate to one third, I'm in lincolnshire and most stylists here just get minimum wage, that's it!!!
