Hi,

I have been hairdressing for 20 years, 17 of them based in a salon and have just recently gone freelance and its going quite well.

Im thinking of paying someone to create a website for me and maybe starting an online shop selling products.

Im not too sure about getting good prices for my stock and whether the profit margins would be enough to make it worthwhile?

Im not sure if the big companies like loreal and schwarzkopf would give me an account because im freelance.

Anybody any ideas?

Thanks muchely

If you would like any more information you can send me a message or he has his own website.

Hi,

I would imagine competition from the major companies with big advertising budgets will make it very challenging for your site to rank well for retail related searches.

To cater for any retail transactions through your site you'll also need to pay a payment provider (SagePay, etc) a monthly fee to handle any online transactions securely.

I think some of the brands also like to keep the "found in professional salons" vibe with their products.

Good Luck.
