hi,

i was wondering if someone could help???

i have a lot of customers that come to me for shellac its more demanding than all my other services, but the last 2 (myself and mum) have bubbled on the thumb, so took it all off and re done them, and it happened again but was ok the 3rd time, has this happened to anybody else :irked:

thanks

Are you applying it thin enough? If so, are you curing it long enough?

hi thanks for getting back to me, yep 2 mins, and yeah i think its thin enough but maybe it could be that so i will try it again but its only the 1 colour it happened with (blackpool).:wink2: thanks

Which lamp do you have?

If it's the vintage grey CND one, you would need to cure the thumbs separately.

You can only cure the whole hand with the new CND white lamp.

HTHs

Blackpool and fedora are notorious for bubbling and rippling if not applied in thin coats. If this is the only color for which you're experiencing this problem, I bet this is the issue.

Try applying Blackpool nice and thin. It doesn't need to be applied thick in order to get nice coverage. Two thin layers does a very good job. See if that solves your problem.

Also, as Angel stated, if you're using the older Brisa lamp, you should be curing the thumbs separately.
