Ok so I did a client shellac nails on Tuesday, 2 coats of garnet glamour! I've now Finnished for the holidays and she's emailed tonight to say one is lifting on the centre on her forefinger I think.

Anything I can tell her to do herself or is the only answer to redo the nail??

I work from home and husband and kids off tomorrow so really don't want to have her come here but be gutted to think her nails haven't lasted until Xmas

If you think it could have been your error, ask her to come in early, so you still can enjoy your day :)

Thank you, I messaged her last night to come in this morning so I can re do the nail!
Can I ask you what you think I may have done wrong? Apply to thickly to the free edge?? Or any other ideas?

My client had the same issue with the same colour I've no problems with any other colours I've applied.

I've done loads of sets using garnet glamour including myself and none have had issues. Perhaps the problem lies with the prep of that particular nail?

Thank you, me either!! Just a little frustrating and as I've just started again after a long gap bringing up my children I worry!!

Thanks :)

all sorted, it was very minor peeling/wearing off of the free edge. It didn't look particularly thick, she said she could feel a bit of toughness at the end of that one nail, wander if I didn't cap properly with the top coat! All other nails were fine so all is well!

Thanks for your replies!

Merry Xmas to you all!
