Hi
I've been doing shellac for nearly 8 months now, prep and application etc is all correct, lots of clients having shellac and up till now never had a problem.
I have a customer with damaged nails from acrylic and although she hasn't always been regular we have had to sculpt acrylic up till now due to her length of nail as she does tend to bite if no product on. We have finally got the length now and shellac applied for first time last week and finally can see condition of her nails improving. However she states they have all peeled off. She promises she hasn't picked or bitten or had in any products, she was given after care and solar oil. Iv never had a customer have this problem, a few chips possibly but never the peeling. I will assess nails and re do for free but can anyone suggest why? I have no reason to think she has lied to me about picking them.
Thanks

Forgot to add - also had problems with her acrylic lifting and nails coming off - but again on no other customers!!!!

If there is still damage from the acrylic, the nail itself may be peeling, taking the Shellac with it.

more than likely what Has already been said but but just to rule it out its worth checking the hours on your bulbs as its been 8 months.

:)

Bulbs are new, I replace regularly and I have done several clients since her and no reports of problems.
Thankyou for your advice x

I think occasionally you just have to accept that Shellac and possibly even nail enhancements are not suitable for everyone.

I have no luck with Shellac with weak bendy nails without an overlay beneath.
