always have some business cards in your bag to hand out if you are talking to someone. leave them in toilets in pubs, leave them anywhere you can think of! get to the school. offer them a prize if they are doing any charity events. also send them a link to your wesbite if you are online and they can look at the special prices. i found also sometimes i send out a text saying "im really busy this week, so if you were planning on getting hair done, better call soon to get an appointment :)" and then u get a few panic calls, i know someone who does this with her beauty, says she is super busy and its like a domino affect, everyone wants booked in!!!!

we all have down days, heck im sitting here typing away when i should be tidying up in here and mopping the floors, emailing people etc, but its great to have like minded people to pick you up.

I know if i had to rely on my friends for help and inspiration i wouldnt be where i am today.

THANKS GEEKS I LOVE YOU ALLL :)

Hi, If you do mobile have you thought about offering spray tan parties where each guest pays a certain price and the host gets tanned free? Bottle of sparkly and some nibbles for them to have while waiting on each other getting tanned goes down well xx

hi

i use xen tan and charge £15. I do really well out of it and get 26 tans out of a gallon bottle. The customers love the colour and especially the price.

My current offer is buy 2 get 1 free and they can't get enough of it!

As i was once told, don't discount because a) you are a quality salon with quality products b) customers want to know where they stand and hate to think they might have missed out on this months promotion if the prices are always changing.

its advice that really worked for me. You pay for what you get and if you want the best, don't discount!!! :D

I hope you meant litre not gallon! That's over 200ml a tan otherwise-lol

I charge £12.50 for a tan. I am salon based though so don't have travelling costs to take into account. My spray booth is also self cleaning so don't have to spend time cleaning too much-bonus!
I do a lot of tans. At the moment i am doing 25-30 tans a week.
My clients always say it's nice to be able to have regular tans as they find that price affordable.
Nearly all of my clients are from word of mouth. A lot of my clients have told me that my spray tans are the best they have ever had so i probably could put the price up but i don't want to.
We are trying to steer people away from sun beds and i have a lot of clients that have converted. Also clients that use a self tan at home spend that amount on their product. These clients now have a spray tan as well as it's about the same price without the hassle of having to do it themselves.
I make a very nice profit charging £12.50 so i'm happy and the clients are happy. I'm also very pleased that i've managed to stop a lot of clients using sunbeds :D

Why oh why can't your salon be near me !!! I would be having a tan every week then !!
