:( oh no! I had to nhs website it as I wasn't sure what it was. What's your midwife/gp said? The nhs site says it's extremely rare for it to harm baby, not much help but better than nothing. X

Liking the sweep part hopefully it will get you going! Bit rubbish about the infection :( still at least they know about it before so can treat it better.

Midwife told me not to google it but thats the first thing i did and now im terrified!!!!! Im sure ill be ok, just so nervous now :-( x

I wouldn't worry, only worry if your midwife worries. Not long now anyway! Baby will be here soon and in your arms. Xx

Well fingers crossed the sweep on friday does something lol x

Missy I have strep b too, it's a bacteria that grows in one in four women. It can only be passed to the baby through labour, if it's passed onto the baby it can be quite serious. But because your aware of it there's really no problem at all. You will be put on penicillin during labour for at least four hours, but if baby comes too quick they give baby antibiotics just to be on the safe side. So really you are so lucky to know that you carry it cause now you can prepare for it x

Honestly you are so lucky to find out because you can be tested today and it might not show up but once you test positive it means you carry that bacteria all your life so any other babies you have will also benefit from the information. But once you know it's really no big deal at all they give you the drip then keep you and baby for 48 hours just incase. But it's really important to go straight to the hospital once your waters break just so you can try and get those four hours on the drip. You will be grand and baby will be here in no time 😉
