silk or fiberglass

i have a client just call and she has natural nails, she has split one of her nails down the middle through to the nail bed and has asked me if i can do anything for her, i was thinking of a silk or fiberglass overlay to protect it but not sure wich one,
should i use silk or fiberglass? any help would be great

To be honest I don't think it would matter whether you used silk of fibreglass. I know silk has a softer look but with regards to dealing with damage to the natural nail, either would work.
