Hiya,
I suffer with quite bad excema and probably dermatitis (sp?).

I bought a huge tub of barrier cream from Sallys in a white tub with pinky red writing on (like a wax tub) and it really helps me, but you can buy 'Savlon' barrier cream from the chemists.
I suggest maybe you buy some and give it to her to use before you do a treatment on her. Also, if you are soaking off, rub the skin surrounding the nail with solar oil or your equivalent to help protect the skin. I use the tin foil on each finger method to soak off.
You could always ask her to put on latex gloves and cut the finger ends off too, if the dust is a problem, all this together and she should have no problems. I have to say though, I've never put the gloves on anyone and cut the finger ends off, but it's always an idea!

This all may help her if she has sensitive skin. Do ask her to tell you what the doctor says though if she goes.

oh great.....just spoke to her and said she must go to docs asap....she started laughing saying she doesnt need to go to docs.....so i said i cant do anything else to them...i cant soak them off, file them off or put new ones on until shes been to the docs.....so she says she doesnt need to see doc she isnt bothered..shell just have to cut and pick them off for now

Well i hope you don't mind me saying but isn't that a bit irresponsible?
I mean it's her health we're talking about.
Why won't she go to a doctor?
It's obvious that the rash needs to be seen by one!
