Hi all, I was hoping some of you fab geeks might be able to help me.

I set up my room about a year ago and bought the skinmate microlift, previously working with CACI an Silhouette. I desperately wanted one of these machines but money was (and is!) far too tight, and 90% of the people in the area had never even heard of a CACI or non surgical face lift (however I worded it to them!) So I decided to get the affordable skinmate and try to get more people interested so I could possibly upgrade to a CACI on lease in the near future.
I never expected the skinmate to be half as good as more high-end machines but still needed some sort of visible results to gain clients.
I'm so sorry to ramble on but now I can get to the point of writing this thread :o. The machine has 5 pre-sets which seem to do nothing at all and nothing can be felt apart from the last 10 mins of the lifting phase which will only work if you let the previous sequences run through without skipping to it, when the last 10mins do kick in my poor clients muscles twitch like crazy and I have to quickly drop the intensity. As there is no display to show conductivity I cant tell what is happening! I have spoke to the manufacturers who when I mentioned about the 50 mins of nothing said 'that's why the machine's so good, because there's no discomfort to your client' and when I told them of the 10min intensity jump they said to simply 'turn it down as I must be unconsciously raising it'. My problem with this that the lifting phase of the programme is 30mins so if its going to kick in higher I would think it should do it sooner??!!

I'm basically wondering if anyone else uses this system and has had any similar problems or has any tips on how to sort it out?
I know it's my own fault for buying a cheaper machine but my reasons are at the beginning of the post, I just needed a stepping stone.

This is my first thread so please go easy on me :wink2:

Hi Helen,

I use the same machine as you and have experianced the same thing although most people seem to feel the lifting from the start (if that makes sense) the machines we trained with at college were similar in the fact clients couldnt feel anything during the treatment. I've also wonderd if its possible to skip through the cleansing and pre lifting stage.
