Trained in Hard Gel but have a few clients asking for enhancements in soft gel. I'm looking at Gel 2 Skyscraper and NSI Secrets. I rang Creative re Skyscraper who said you can create good enhancements.

Anyone used either system - would love some thoughts.

I currently use nsi hard gel and when I seen the secrets soak off Immidiately bought the large trial kit... I tried it on myself but was expecting an easier soak... It took a lot of buffing still, I will be sticking with hard gel.

Hi, why are your client wanting soft gel enhancements? Enhancements are better if they're done with hard gel, I use shellac for natural nails and stick to acrylic for clients who need length and are happy for the regular infills. I tried cnd brisa sculpting gel which is a hard gel but soaks off but I found it wasn't lasting on my clients so I scrapped that and just offer acrylic now as I know it works and I'm not closing the door and waiting for the call they have broke a nail. I'm not familiar with the products you said sorry but I stick to what I know works. I will try something if it has a good reputation and my clients are asking me for it but I hate trying something new and it not working because I spend my time repairing and feel crappy when it doesn't work.

I had Nsi secrets on myself and it lasted great but I found the same with the soak off. I filed off most of it anyway.

Enhancements are not "better" when done with hard gel. I use Brisa hard gel and also some soak off systems, including Biosculpture. Both are equally good and last weeks and weeks and weeks when properly applied.

I have a few ladies who are nurses, so just want for holidays - hence an enhancement for a few weeks. I have just discovered The Gel Bottle Inc builders. Trialling on myself sculpted 10 days so far, brilliant stuff.

I also have clients who are nursing sister in retirement homes so they in harsh conditions as nails go. And I use Calgel, which is a soft gel and they last until their 2 week fill or 3 weeks sometimes.
Think you can add acrylic powder to the base layer for extra strength of you worried about strength but otherwise it should be fine !

I've started using NSI Secrets. Application wise I really like it, have found it as strong as any hard gel. Was really excited about being able to soak off but quite dissapointed. Still needs a lot of filing and takes as long if not longer than acrylic.

which other soak off gels do you use and would you suggest besides biosculpture?

I used skyscraper gel and it went soft when in hot water or near heat ie like when drying my hair , it went like rubber , I personally would nit use it for a full set of extentions especially when going abroad in heat x

Its great for overlay , and soaks if brilliant

The Gel Bottle Inc worked really well - I soaked off after nearly 3 weeks. There was hardly any lifting. It took a while to soak off about 40 minutes. The only negative is the heat spike was fierce on application but I'm using my Gelish 18g lamp. I had to keep putting my hand in and out until the spike subsided. Would definitely use as they were so strong and I wore on holiday with no problems - just need to sort a solution for the heat spike before using on clients!

If you have finally decide to use the The Gel Bottle Inc, then I suggest get their lamp too. No company will guarantee it's 100% cured unless you used their lamp, and that will probably solve your heat spike problem too.

Are you still using The Gel Bottle Inc?

Yes and I absolutely love it. The last time I soaked off was August, just soaked off one finger last week the rest infills. Buffed back really thin and soaked off in 15 minutes. Got round the heat spike with thin layers. I've tried so many systems but this stuff is amazing, no lifting at all. No primer just acetone on new growth, I use a dedicated brush for this and away you go.

I'm moving to a new area nearly 100 miles away so going to try on clients after Christmas. I would have trialled on myself for 6 months by then.

I'm still using Light Elegance hard gel but for clients who like a strong 'soft' soak off gel, this is my go to now.

I placed an order yesterday after watching a few videos. Like you, I will trial on myself and maybe one or two friends first.
