Hi guys I recently had my hair bleached up to have a purple put on, it has been a bit dry so have been using a mask every week, but have now noticed quite alot of split ends, I had my hair trimmed when dyed then about an inch off 3 weeks after now 3 weeks on, I have quite a lot of split ends, can I do anything to prevent them or get rid of? xx

You can't repair a split end, you can only cut them off, but good quality products should help prevent them happening in the first place. Use a decent shampo and conditioner, and a mask twice a week.

what would be good to use? I dont like the smooth or sleek type shampoos as I have fine hair (lots of lol) I like it poker straight but not stuck to my head  I've been using aussie colormate and osomo mask xx

I don't think you're getting enough moisture into the hair. Try Paul Mitchell colour care (orange bottle), or the Pureology hydrate range, or Redken or Kerastace. If you have a decent hair salon near you, go in and ask for a decent, moisturising shampoo, conditioner and mask. Expect to pay £30 ish for just the shampoo and conditioner, but it will last, and it will help.

Bin the Aussie, and the Osmo. Your hair needs better than that.

If you want a budget option, go into your nearest wholesaler and ask their advice. I'm not sure Sally's has the best range, but other places do.

Thanks for that had paul mitchell along time ago when hair was totally knackered! so think i'll get some of that again xx

If you like Paul Mitchell, you might also like the Supercharge, it's an intensive conditioner and well worth a try.

Paul Mitchell do a good moisture range. The Super Charged Moisturizer is a great conditioning treatment, it'll help re-hydrate your hair.
These products may be pricey compared to your Aussie but they do last a long time. You can't put a price on having healthy hair.

In the pureology range there is a split end repair leave in treatment which is really good. I would say use the repair shampoo and coditioner and the split end treatment as your daily routine for a while. Pureology is on my website (link in my signature) so have a look and a read up.

Thanks for advice ladies ;-) will I not need to use a colour shampoo and conditioner? Just as its quite a vibrant colour x

All the entire pureology range is centred around colour care.
