Hi geeks, just nipped over from hair to ask a question about skin, I've had weird red bumpy spots that appear on my back, chest and tops of my arms! Really irritating because I can't wear nice tops, I was speaking to someone from a beauty shop who have tanning beds and as I have oily skin she said it would be good to use the sun bed to dry the spots out? I have no idea about this sort of thing so thought I'd ask if this would be okay, or if it would make it worse? ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1394375561.451335.jpg
I've attached the picture just so you can get more of an idea of what I mean, if anyone could help I would be really thankful xx

Hmm not sure about the beds, but have you ruled out maybe a work top or something iritating your chest?

If you are wanting to improve the condition if your skin, as a skin care professional I would never advise you to use a sunbed.

It may be possible you have developed an allergy or sensitivity to something? Possibly your washing powder or shower gel.

After reading your post again, can I add that it may be also be a good idea to have a chat with your doctor to see if these may be hormonal spots.

Best wishes xx

I had something like this years ago and went to gp as it didn't seem to improve after a few days. She said it was folliculitis and prescribed antibiotics. It seemed a strange diagnosis to me due to the area it was in but it did seem to clear up after the prescription, so may be worth a visit if you feel like its more than just a standard spot that should clear up after a few days.
