Hi, please can you help, I have just started doing mobile spray tanning which is going really well and i am thinking of getting into doing gel or shellac nails as most of my clients are asking for this.

I looked on sweet sqared website for shellac nails naturally course and equiptment and it was coming to £995 which is quite a lot to pay up front as it would take me so long to get it back .. does anyone know if i could maybe do a course separate and buy equiptment for cheaper or does it all have to be done in one? are there cheaper places to do the training??

also not quite sure weahter to do gel or shellac and what the differences are - can anyone please help??? :)

I think that you acctually have to do a mani/pedi course aswell to bump up the prices aswell! but it worth doing so you get a feel for doing nails. It depends on what you want to offer clients. Doing both would be benificial! xx

You need to have a manicure certificate to buy shellac from S2 & be insured to do it. You do not need to do their shellac training but it is not expensive & advisable.

If you do a seperate Manicure course make sure it is recognised by s2, or alternately do their naturally course & gain your manu cert with them, you will have everything you need to go with Shellac & some of the best training available. If you add up how much it costs to train elsewhere & buy all the kit from s2 or Ellisons (nowhere else is an approved distributor) then I bet it will cost about the same as going straight to s2 for the naturally course. I know it seems a lot upfront but if you try do anything on the cheap you deliver cheap results & won't be able to build a business up that way xx
