Hi everyone!
Can anyone give me any advice on becoming a mobile beauty therapist? How do you manage with getting everything from one persons house to another - do you have to make more than one journey to the car? How many treatments did you start off with providing? Do you take your own table and chair as well as your beauty couch?
I am really wanting to start up my own mobile beauty business as can then work out my own hours around family life but really don't know where to start. I know about insurance and already got a beauty couch, wax pot and nail lamp but how did you all start up?
If you could give me some great advice I'd really appreciate the help :)

Hi there
I have been mobile for approx 4 years now. It works really well when you have a young family and you can control your own bookings I offer a full range of beauty treatments but obviously the more you offer, the more you can end up carrying if clients book different treatments. So yes sometimes you need to make more than one trip backwards and forwards to the car.
I don't take my own table and chair, I just have a beauty couch. Most people have chairs and tables in their house you can use. Chat to them before hand to make sure if they are a new client. I have a suitcase on wheels for tanning, a plastic box with lid for waxing, small beauty case for facial products, roo bag for mani/pedi, another case on wheels for Shellac and then a large cath kidston laundry bag for towels ect..hth

Thank you for getting back to me :)
I've got the big things like beauty couch, tanning machine, wax pot and and LED lamp but as I am only level 2 I was thinking of starting out with just a few treatments and then building up with more treatments after doing a few courses like gel nails.
A bag for towels didn't even cross my mind!
