Straighteners

Hi Geeks,

I have some lovely hot pink GHD straighteners but I have had them for a couple of years and they getting a bit tatty and my cat chewed the wire! So was wondering if you recommend getting another pair of GHDs or if you can recommend a different brand?

Also how long should a pair of straighteners last?
