hi looking for some advice please help

ive got a client coming in she has had her hair dye red wella 66/45 but now wants to go about 8/0 base with a few blonde hi lights. Her hair is in good condition as not dye her before the red!!!!! but it is shoulder length not sure what the best thing to do.

thanks kerry

Need to go to at least a 5 base ash, to start cancelling out the red, use a semi. Advise client it might take at least a year to get acquired shade, keep applying 5.1 until all red is cancelled out and then start lightning with highlights, use bleach with 4% this will take a few months to get to this. Hth

Since the hair is in good condition and it's only one application of the red, could she not strip the hair using Effasor or similar. Then weave in some bleach with 6% and colour the rest with the 8/0?

I'm still learning colour correction so I might be totally off.

Hiya
If the hair is in good condition and its at 66/45 and you want to get it 8/0 it prob wont be done in one or even two appointments explain this to the client and explain the reason you don't want to do it in one go is because you still want her to keep her hair healthy and especially if she wants to keep the length.
You need to start with a cleansing shampoo (bleach bath) check on your wella or whatever products you use for the mixxing guidelines. Cleansing shampoo can usually be on for half an hour and applied up to three times but I personally wouldn't do it more than once/twice tops.
Depending on the outcome of this then decide where you go.
Your probably looking at getting her to a 6/7 depth maybe with a few highlights going through first attempt.
Check back to your unlieing tone guide so if the hair lifts to reddy orange after the cleansing shampoo you need to go with a base 6 if the hair goes a lighter orange then go base 7.
Hope this helps
