Hi all,
This is my first post, hope it works..!

My wife and I intend on opening a tanning salon, working up to 6 beds in Y1 (plus spray tan etc) and getting a new 3 phase connection is required. Through research / advice from electricians to run 6 beds, plus other standard salon electrical requirements concurrently, a 80kVA 3 phase connection would be required, running off 100A fuses. The eye watering part came from the quote via ENWL (Electricity North West);
Standard 3 phase 60kVA supply £6800
80kVA 3 phase supply £13230

Is this a standard cost that other salon owners have incurred?
Are there other salon owners on here with 5+ beds who can advise on what they do/did regarding 3 phase supply?
What I'd greatly appreciate is feedback from other salon owners who have been through the 3 phase journey. I'd hate to be missing something here and I've struggled to find a forum (other than this site) where I can pick the brains of those with experience.

I've also found, that to ensure 6 beds is achievable on that 3phase supply, they need to have a power consumption of 9kW, such as a Ergoline 400 Inspiration. Once you start moving up to the 'jazzy' beds using 15-18kW, 4 - 5 beds is your limit, even on the 80kVA supply. The 90kVA supply cost is around £20,000...so we can forget that.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I look forward to receiving advice / feedback.

Wow!
This sounds like a nightmare. Before I say any more I know I cannot help you as I had a beauty salon and didn't have any tanning beds. I see you've done your research. I want to say go back to basics. Walk into a tanning shop and ask the owner/management. Maybe conversationally, not I'm your competitor how did you sort out your Phase 3 issues. More as an interested outsider, if you know what I mean.
This industry is a lonely world and getting someone to share info can feel like pulling your own teeth sometimes, but approaching a salon with similar facilities could give you a result.
I'd like to think the area you're in has similar shops, because that proves there is a demand for this type of business in your area.

I hope someone does answer you soon, but I've found that with this site, it's mostly people with issues rather than coming on to give solutions.
Good luck
