tantruth trained using too much spray

HI all, did my tan truth training and was taught to do in a zig zag weaving mode, im using around 100-150 per client for 2 sprays but from reading all the threads this is way too much, i turned my gun down so fine mist but still used 100mls please can you tell me how gun should should be positioned only shows vertical, horizontal and not zig zag ahh help!! im using suntanna dark which is lovely but not sure if cheaper solutions mean you have to use more?
