Yep Geeg's solar oil pic for me too. I do admire some subtle nail art but nothing over the top. Natural is my fave.
Cheers
Karen

We have a large framed poster of Geeg's 'solar oil nails' in our salon amongst many others....

50% of the time when we ask new clients what 'look' they wish...you guessed it...they point to Geeg's nails!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately, all of our techs can do custom colour blending to create that very natural look (except that it's NOT very natural, it's the way everyone wishes their nails WERE naturally:lol:)

So maybe Geeg should catchphrase them.....perfect 'wish they were' nails!

Aaagh i can't actually find my fave nails pic now!

It was the pink stiletto with the big gems all over that Antony Buckley did for someone at the Scottish show this year!

Maybe someone else will be able to find and post x

I think you mean the nail that is on this thread.....it is stunning, totally impractical but stunning.

Isn't that the beauty of our industry that we can give our clients who want a natural look, just that, and yet we can keep our more adventurous clients happy with our more avant garde looks too.

Wow....sunglasses indeed:lol:

Aha!!! So THATS who did 'em!!!

I was coming on here to say my favourite nails are the Solar Oil picture ones, I didnt know that Geeg did them. I agree that the nicest nails are the natural looking ones, I'm not personally a fan of french finish or nail art, and I think it's interesting that the majority of techs have picked the same nails as their favourites. Does this mean that we have a trained eye do you think??

I love these  I would be happy if I was half as good as the person who did these beauty's!

Best pic by far is Geeg's Solar Oil pic (it's the wallpaper on my computer),it's the look every tech should aspire to.

What makes them the best is the fact they look real, I thought that was the point of anything artificial.

Although I understand the talent to make the "Fake French" look.

I muchly appreciate the beauty of more realistic nail rather then the Screaming in your face, up your nose, fake look.

Unfortunately many techs have lost touch as to what looks real.

Absolutley :!:They are so pretty,so complimentary and let's face it many didn't even realise they were enhancements :!:

Yup these are the Stiletto's i was looking for, I just love them! Yes they don't look real but as a change they would be so much fun!

I'd love a set even if i had to hire an assistant for a few weeks x

Isn't the diversity of life great :D there is no disputing he is outstanding at what he doe's,personally, well they aren't my cuppa tea,but superb none the less xx

Just 'cause it is fun to know these things ... these are Mrs Geek's hands and nails. She often models for me even now. She has nice hands and a lovely nail shape. I did these years ago when this is what a stiletto nail looked like  and CND were the first to ever introduce the stiletto shape which was both pretty and practical. At least they could be worn without injuring yourself or others.

For "natural" looking nails, it's Gigi's solar nails without question.

But as you all know, my tendency is towards nail art.. and I could share tonnes of images... too hard to choose.

I have to agree with Carl though, and say that any set that is 'perfect' will always lead me to question if they are natural or enhanced.
So, I disagree that anything with art looks false. It's not the art that looks false. It's the "perfect" nails:lol:
