Thick cuticles

Hiya geeks,

I'm a bit stumped on this one, how do you deal with cuticles that are quite far down the base of the nail but really thick? They are practically hard skin around base of the nail? I have a client whom has this I do all my cuticle work, nipping old cuticle and pushing back but there wasn't much to take off as it seemed like the skin of the finger just started further down the nail.
My client was happy and she's become a regular but I'd like to know if there's anyway around this because when I take pictures it just looks like iv left cuticle on that nail.

Yes I use that already but it didn't help. Is it possible the skin does just start lower down the nail?

Do you retail cuticle eraser? It works well on me.
