This doesn't quite sit right with me?

Hi ladies,
Have had a girl message me quite a few times,over the past couple of weeks arranging a constation for extensions, a client of mine recommended me to her, we've just finally arranged the date and time, but she's asked me if I will do it at her place of work, which is a salon??
What do you guys think of this?

I can't see this being a problem but can understand why you may think twice. Do some research to see if that salon already offers extensions - I doubt they will or she would have them done there. If it's only a consultation I wouldn't worry but, I wouldn't carry out the service there (thinking perhaps they may take your technique ideas etc, but that's just my suspicious mind lol) hugs x

The girl did have them done there, but said they were horrible,like rats tails,and was asking me advice on how to take them out?

Shes asked me to do the fitting there,as theres more room(understandable) but she also wanted the cons. doing there? now, I know Ive got a big bum, but i dont need all that room,lol!!

Im quite excited about going in and "showing off" lol, but Im also thinking why would her boss even want me there? surely shes worried about wether im insured or not? wether her customers will be watching me,and wanting me to do theres? wether my electricals are PAT tested or not?

I definately think they want to watch me work, most people in my town know me for extensions, I know that salon, as I was going to rent it out before the current lady,and Ive probably got more customers than they have.
Maybe I'll give the owner a call?

Maybe they want to get you into the salon not only to see your work but also to see the rapport you have with the other stylists, or how you deal with clients? They may wish to offer you a chair to rent in the salon... after all if you are well known for your extension work then it can only look good for them to have you operating from their salon?? I too am known in my area for my extension and have been 'propositioned' in this manner 3 times lol :wink2:

Like you say.... best thing to do is ring the owner and just ask if she is comfortable with you doing it in her salon, she may tell you her alterior motive! :lol:

Endless I had the same thing happen to me and it turned out the salon had never seen micro rings before and wanted to see how I applied them etc.

They then asked me if I would be interested in working for them, which I declined as I'm busy enough.

There might be a bit of both in your case.

I think if your freelancing and have a reputation for your trade, and not likely to want to work in a salon or for a salon then Id be wary but I'm sure its more of a compliment
